FCC Seeking Comments on E-Rate Eligible Services List
Each year the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) seeks input on the E-Rate program and associated eligible services through a group called the Wireline Competition Bureau. Most applicants don't respond to this request for input.
Take action now.
The reply comment period is open now and will close on July 6, 2015. This is an opportunity for applicants and other interested parties to let the FCC know what is and isn't working.
The FCC notice states, in part, they are "... particularly welcome comments based on applicants’ and other interested parties’ experience...". Now is the time to make your voice heard and participate in the decision making process that shapes the products and services covered by the E-Rate program.
Advanced Data Services Inc. (ADS), an E-Rate consulting firm, has created an anonymous 9 question survey for applicants. The results of this survey will be summarized and included in the ADS reply comment to the FCC. A quick way to provide feedback would be to complete this survey.
The survey is here: E-Rate Survey (on Survey Monkey)
We encourage all applicants to participate in the rule making process.
The FCC notice can be found here: FCC Public Notice (PDF)
